Someone needs to get Celtic and Rangers and bang their heads together.

The latest in what is a long string of “it’s not fair” moves came today when Celtic put out an official statement berating the SFA for not taking retrospective action against Alfredo Morelos.

The Rangers striker was involved in a number of incidents that could have merited action in the Old Firm clash at Ibrox, but the SFA decided that it would take the matter no further this week.

However, that’s not good enough for Celtic who have lodged an official complaint through a statement released on Friday.

In the statement, they say they they are “surprised that there will be no disciplinary action taken by the Scottish FA regarding the incidents during the match on December 29, which have been widely addressed in the media.

“It is reported that no action was taken because the match referee saw all of the incidents in question.

“Given that the referee took no action at the time, this tends to suggest that such conduct, which in one instance led to a Celtic player, Anthony Ralston, being injured, is acceptable in Scottish football. That cannot be right.”

It seems like a very strange statement, given that Scott Brown could arguably have been sent off in the same match. And has got away with a lot of crunching ‘tackles’ in his career.

Surely this sort of stuff is better left to the referees and the talking done on the pitch?

Rangers fans are, as you might imagine, finding the whole thing hilarious and have taken to Twitter to mock their rivals.

Here are the best reactions from Rangers fans, already on cloud nine after it was announced that striker Jermain Defoe would be joining them on an 18-month loan:
