COMMENTARY
Welcome back to the Rangers team Borna Barisic. The left back was chosen to replace Andy Halliday in defence and rewarded Steven Gerrard for his faith with a performance that showed why the 26-year-old is so highly rated at Ibrox. Admittedly he was rarely tested in defence, dealing with pretty much anything that the home side threw his way, but it was his display at the other end of the pitch which had the Rangers faithful raving on Twitter. Time after time he found himself with the ball out wide and constantly delivered a cross which threatened the Livingston defence. If this is what the summer signing can offer every week then the likes of Halliday and Jon Flanagan finding their way back into the starting XI is a task easier said than done. Of course Barisic has suffered his injury problems this season and so it is no guarantee he will be able to play every game, but when he is fit and firing, he looks an almost guaranteed starter for Gerrard and his side.

Cracking couple of crosses from Barisic. Makes such a difference having that quality against sides who look to sit in.

That was a great ball by Barisic just a tad too high for El Bufalo

Necessary player Barisic (and this is not to the detriment of Halliday, who always complies). He has category to defend and its centers of precision, admirable
