Rangers boss Steven Gerrard is making some serious movements in the January transfer window, with the Light Blues having signed four players already.

Two of those players, Jermain Defoe and Steven Davis, will join up with the side immediately, while the two others, Glen Kamara and Jordan Jones, will arrive in the summer after signing pre-contract agreements.

However, midfielder Kamara could now end up joining Rangers this month, with the Scottish Sun reporting that Dundee are willing to let him leave for a fee in an exciting twist for the club.

Should they end up settling on a reasonable fee for the Finland international then this is an absolute no-brainer for Rangers as they seek to win title number 55 this season.

Kamara has impressed massively during his time at Dundee, with the 23-year-old midfielder becoming one of the most sought-after players in Scotland.

And, with midfield being an area in which Rangers have struggled at times this season, his arrival now will plug a crucial gap and give Gerrard an incredibly strong platform to build from for the remainder of the campaign.

The arrival of Southampton star Davis on a six-month loan gives them some much-needed creativity behind the strikers, while Kamara brings an extra bit of steel in behind the Northern Ireland international.

The potential impact of his surprise January arrival cannot be underestimated, with Kamara able to hit the ground running having come from a division rival and having played in Scotland for a year-and-a-half already.

Obviously there is still a fee to be agreed with the Dee, but should Gerrard and co. manage to get this one over the line then Rangers will be well on their way to number 55.
