COMMENTARY

There is no doubting that Daniel Candeias is usually one of the first names on Steven Gerrard’s team sheets at Rangers and after his first half performance against Livingston it is easy to see why he is adored by the Ibrox faithful. Not only is the winger supremely skilled with the ball at his feet, posing a constant threat to the home side at the Tony Macaroni Arena, but he is also one of the hardest workers among Gerrard’s squad. He is up and down the line none-stop, hassling and harrying the opposition out of possession. His vision is excellent and really should have had an assist for one of the best passes that the Scottish top flight will see this season, weighting a through ball perfectly from out wide into the middle only to see Alfredo Morelos hit the post with his effort. Candeis impresses week after week and while there might be some players who others think are more important to the side, the wide man certainly has a case in that particular discussion.
