COMMENTARY
A comfortable and confident win keeps the Celtic train rolling on and all the plaudits on Wednesday night from Parkhead are heading in one direction. Callum McGregor opened the scoring with a peach of an effort – Ryan Christie doing his best to overshadow his teammate with an equally brilliant strike – but it was his overall performance which had the Parkhead faithful drooling over him on Twitter. Comparisons to Messi and a suggestion that he could play in the Barcelona midfield might be a little strong for the 25-year-old but that his how highly he is rated by those in the stands at Celtic Park. His ability to play as a winger, in midfield and even as a defender makes him so very valuable to Brendan Rodgers but it really is in that attacking role where he prospers. His ability on the ball, not to mention his exceptional work ethic off it, makes him a danger to the opposition for the full 90 minutes and if this is what the Hoops’ rivals can expect they may well consider giving Celtic the title now. He is that good.

Folk might laugh at this but Callum McGregor would not look out of place at base of a Barcelona midfield. Techinically he's head and shoulders above anything else in Scotland.
