Leeds United winger Hadi Sacko had decided that he wants to join MOL Vidi and is now waiting on the Yorkshire club to finalise the move away from Las Palmas, according to La Provincia.

The Spanish newspaper claims that the 24-year-old is training alone at Las Palmas as he waits for his loan spell at the La Liga2 club to be terminated.

It is understood that he has decided on joining Vidi for the second-half of the season, suggesting that he will be joining the Hungarian club on a loan basis.

Cypriot giants AEK Larnaca were also said to be an option for Sacko, who has made just five appearances since joining Las Palmas on loan from Leeds in the summer.

However he rejected them and is now waiting for the go-ahead to join Vidi.

Good move for Leeds?

It doesn’t really matter where Sacko is playing at this point, as long as he is playing.

The Mali international has failed to earn a single appearance for Las Palmas since a late cameo against Mallorca in October, so it would make a lot of sense for the Spanish club to want him gone before the end of the month.

It is also in Leeds’ best interest to preserve the transfer value of the ex-Sporting CP winger, who will enter the final year of his contract with the Whites in the summer.

He is bound to play a bit more with Vidi in the second-half of the season, so it should be a good move for all parties concerned.

Likely to happen?

Judging by this report, Sacko is now just playing a waiting game before Leeds tear up his loan deal with Las Palmas and finalise terms with Vidi.

It should all go quite smoothly as all clubs are bound to be interested in getting the switch completed.
