Las Palmas has reached agreement with Leeds and Hadi Sacko over the termination of the winger’s loan agreement.

The 24-year-old had suffered a torrid time at the Spanish club, making just five appearances and not making the squad for the last nine games.

The tweet, posted on the official Las Palmas Twitter page reads, “Agreement with Leeds United and Sacko for the end of the transfer of the player to the UD Las Palmas.”

Las Palmas announced the news on Friday evening and Sacko will now return to Elland Road.

OPINION

The last news that we heard about Sacko was that Leeds were resisting Las Palmas’ request to terminate Sacko’s loan until they had found another club for him. That was reported in the Yorkshire Evening Post two days ago. We haven’t heard whether Sacko has a new club and many Leeds fans want to see Sacko given a chance in the Leeds side under Marcelo Bielsa. There’s been absolutely no indication that this is going to happen, but Leeds are on the lookout for a winger and are having trouble getting a deal for Swansea’s Daniel James over the line. Sacko has made 60 appearances for Leeds and two appearances for his country, Mali. It would seem to make sense to give him a runout in training with Bielsa, but the Leeds manager seems to make very considered decisions on players and doesn’t change his mind. It appears that he doesn’t like what he’s seen in Sacko.
