OPINION
Joe Worrall has been very inconsistent for Rangers this season, but to judge him so harshly on 45 minutes of a friendly match against HJK Helsinki is a bit over the top. The centre-back, on loan from Nottingham Forest, was torn to shreds for his performance by some Gers supporters, but it wasn’t that important for him to play really well on Sunday, what was important was getting back up to speed. Steven Gerrard probably didn’t help Worrall out too much by playing him alongside Jon Flanagan in the heart of the defence. Worrall should really have started alongside another proper centre-back, who would play in competitive games, so a possible defensive partnership could be refreshed before the trip to Kilmarnock on Wednesday. Connor Goldson is injured and clearly Rangers’ best centre-back. Steven Gerrard seems to think that Worrall is his second-best, so it should have really been Worrall playing alongside Nikola Katic, unless Katic and Gareth McAuley are starting on Wednesday, which is a risk.

I’ll be the first to say it… I think Worrall is a donkey
Plays as if he’s got one mind on whether or not to have spicy rice with his Nandos
