OPINION
It is no surprise that Dundee United’s reported bid to sign Jordan Rossiter on loan from Rangers has gone down like a lead balloon. According to the Express, Steven Gerrard is willing to send the 21-year-old out on loan this month, and the Scottish Championship side have made the first move. Fleetwood Town, managed by Ibrox flop Joey Barton, are also interested, but it is Dundee United’s approach that has gotten some Rangers fans in a fit of rage. It is certainly understandable. Over the last decade, Gers fans have held a grudge against the Tannadice club after they refused to reimburse supporters who travelled to a game that was called off due to a waterlogged pitch. And then there was the perception that ex-United chairman Stephen Thompson effectively danced on the club’s grave during the financial meltdown of 2012. It was all several years ago now, but it still cuts deep among those at Ibrox. Rangers are surely going to be unlikely to do any business with Dundee United if the fans still feel like this.

There’s only a few teams that I’d never loan a player to. Dundee united are one of them.

Doubt it will happen. Would be a travesty sending him to the Scottish championship.

Dundee United want one of our players (Rossiter on loan). I hope we are generous and we say a big NO. That club don´t deserve one iota of help from our side.
