Wolverhampton Wanderers are close to agreeing personal terms with Lyon defender Kenny Tete, according to El Desmarque

The regional Spanish newspaper report that Real Betis are keen on a deal for the 23-year-old right-back, but the Netherlands international prefers a move to the Premier League.

El Desmarque claim that Lyon could be willing to let Tete leave this month due to his position at the lower end of the pecking order, with the young flyer having appeared just 11 times in all competitions this term.

Good move for Wolves?

Absolutely.

Tete is a talented young defender who has caught the eye for Lyon despite being out of favour so far this season, with his 12 caps for the Netherlands proving his potential.

The 23-year-old would be a quality addition for Wolves this month, with Matt Doherty needing cover on the right-hand side of defence.

Likely to happen?

According to this report, Tete is close to agreeing personal terms with Wolves.

If that is true, then there is still much to flesh out between the two clubs, with a fee obviously yet to be agreed upon.

This is definitely a transfer which could take place this month, but there are still many questions to be answered before that can happen.
