To be honest, it is no surprise that these West Ham fans are fuming after the Hammers confirmed via their official Twitter account that Marko Arnautovic has signed a new deal with the club. Not only are they angry about the fact it has happened after all of the links with a move to China, it is also rather bad timing after they crashed out to League One strugglers AFC Wimbledon 4-2 in the FA Cup. The fans would have already suffered enough after such a disappointing defeat, and then they were faced with this news. One fan described the Saturday reveal as an “absolute disaster”, while one branded it as “shameful and disgusting” – and it is hard not to agree with them. Arnautovic has put the supporters through a lot in recent weeks and as a result has lost their trust and respect, and the fact that the club can suddenly announce such news afterwards is actually rather bizarre.
