Sead Haksabanovic has secured a return back to Sweden from West Ham as IFK Norrkoping confirm the loan capture of the promising winger.

The Swedish outfit revealed the 19-year-old’s move from east London via their official Twitter account and website, the 19-year-old pictured in his new club’s kit.

Haksabanovic, who has just two senior appearances for West Ham, was out on loan at Malaga for the first half of the season but found game time difficult to come by and returns to Sweden after coming through the youth ranks at Halmstad, joining the Irons in August 2017.

Opinion

Haksabanovic might have plenty of his career ahead of him but he does not look likely to be making the grade in east London any time soon. His loan spell to Malaga in the first half of the season was something of a disaster, with just two appearances in the second tier of Spanish football and if Sweden is the level that he is aiming for then he can forget about forging a career in the Premier League. Maybe this is a move to bring back the youngster some of his confidence by putting him into familiar surroundings and hoping that he can get his development back on track. Still, it seems unlikely that he is going to be tested to the level that he should be between now and the end of the season and the likelihood is that he is being put in the shop window for a permanent exit in the near future.
