OPINION
Marko Arnautovic is staying at West Ham. After weeks of speculation, the Austria international has confirmed on his Instagram that he will be remaining at the London Stadium [Sky Sports]. The 29-year-old does confirm that there has been an offer on the table for him to leave, but claims he feels at home at West Ham and after consultation with his family has decided to stay. Whether that is the absolute truth is unclear, and among a mixed reaction from West Ham fans, many fuming supporters are clearly not happy with their star striker. Many obviously see his actions this month as inexcusable, with Arnautovic missing a couple of games while deciding upon his future. Fans demand loyalty from players, and in an age where money is king, that loyalty is usually found wanting. Despite Arnautovic’s claims, there will now be countless fans who will never forgive him for what has happened. Hopefully he comes back into the side soon and starts to win back the Hammers faithful with some goals.

For the season. There is no commitment for anything longer than that. Should have sold him.
