COMMENTARY
Some West Ham fans couldn’t help but heap praise on defender Issa Diop after his display against Bournemouth on Saturday. The Hammers may have lost 2-0 to the Cherries but it didn’t stop a large section of fans sharing how the the 22-year-old centre-back had impressed them. Diop may have been directly involved with Callum Wilson putting Bournemouth ahead but clearly he did all he could to try to stop the goal and was unlucky if anything. The centre-back has been a consistent performer for Manuel Pellegrini’s side all season and hopefully that continues. There may not have been many shots on targets by either the Hammers or Bournemouth on Saturday but Diop was kept busy and showed he could cope. The 22-year-old looks like having a bright future at the club and it’s no surprise that the fans below have already taken to him in particular. However even those supporters are probably set to love him more as given his age, it’s very likely he’ll only get better with time.
