Tottenham Hotspur welcome Chelsea to Wembley on Tuesday for the first leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final clash, and Mauricio Pochettino is expected to make seven changes to his starting XI.

Spurs demolished League Two side Tranmere Rovers in a third round FA Cup clash on Friday night, with a much-changed starting team getting the job done for Pochettino.

Opponents Chelsea also won their FA Cup tie against Championship club Nottingham Forest, with Maurizio Sarri also expected to ring in the changes for the semi-final.

In goal, captain Paulo Gazzaniga is expected to retain his place, with the Argentine given a chance to shine in the cup competitions.

In defence, full-backs Serge Aurier and Ben Davies are expected to drop out of the side for Kieran Trippier and Danny Rose respectively, while Juan Foyth is expected to make way for Toby Alderweireld, with Davinson Sanchez keeping his place.

Young flyer Kyle Walker-Peters played well in an unfamiliar role on the left on Friday, but is expected to make way for Moussa Sissoko in midfield, with Harry Winks replacing Oliver Skipp alongside the France international.

Pochettino is then expected to revert to type and call in the big guns in attack with his preferred quartet, with Dele Alli and Son Heung-min keeping their places, while Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen replace Fernando Llorente and Lucas Moura.
