OPINION

Tottenham fans should get to see a massively changed team tonight as Tottenham kick off their FA Cup campaign with a visit to League 2 side Tranmere.

Despite not holding the domestic cups in very high regard, Pochettino won’t want to slip on a potential banana skin tonight, but we don’t think his side will have any problems.

Lots of players need resting after a hectic Christmas schedule and this game gives him the perfect chance to do that. We think he’d be best served making eight changes from the side that beat Cardiff so convincingly.

Moussa Sissoko, Harry Winks and Davinson Sanchez are the three that keep their places.

Fernando Llorente will get the chance to prove that he can still offer something in the title run-in, with Harry Kane in desperate need of a proper break.

Georges-Kevin N’Koudou has had a miserable time since his near-£10million move from Marseilles in 2016 and has only played 27 minutes in the EFL Cup this season.

He should get a start tonight – either way he doesn’t appear to have much of a future at the club.

Lucas Moura was on the bench at Cardiff and can come in and terrorise the Tranmere defence, along with Sissoko.

Oliver Skipp should partner Winks in the midfield, while Kyle Walker-Peters and Ben Davies will take the full-back roles.

Juan Foyth and Sanchez will protect the ever-impressive Paulo Gazzaniga in the Tottenham goal.

This is the team that will ensure Pochettino keeps fighting on all fronts this season:
