Harry Kane has sent a message to Tottenham fans after a shattering injury blow that’s ruled him out of action for the next two months.

Kane said, “Injuries are part of the game but no-one will be working harder to get back fit.”

Kane signed off from the tweet, sent on his personal Twitter account, by saying “Thanks for the messages.”

OPINION

Tottenham’s worst fears were realised when the results of Kane’s scan were made public on Tuesday. It’s an absolutely huge blow that could have serious repercussions on Tottenham’s season. Kane will miss a big chunk of the rest of the season, including both of Tottenham’s knockout games in the Champions League. Many fans are hoping it pushes them into the transfer market, but all signs point to no money being available, and it’s unlikely Tottenham will find a suitable striker replacement on loan. 10 out of 12 Tottenham players who played in the World Cup in the summer have suffered from injuries now – only Son and Toby Alderweireld have stayed fit. It shows how good a job Mauricio Pochettino has made but also what a duff set of cards he’s been dealt this season. No Kane means no Premier League title bid for us though, and that’s a real shame.
