OPINION
Analysis of how the football world reacted to Marcelo Bielsa’s memorable and extraordinary media conference on Wednesday evening shows it’s not just the Leeds supporters in awe of the Argentine. Fans of other clubs admitted their envy of how the Championship leaders had snapped up a coach with such phenomenal attention to detail. While some in the media are still wailing about Bielsa sending an intern to watch rivals’ training sessions from public roads – which is legal and breaks no violations – and, hilariously, claim he has even been disrespectful to the managerial fraternity with his coaching masterclass delivered at Thorp Arch, supporters see it differently. Even Tottenham fans, with an outstanding Argentine manager of their own in Mauricio Pochettino, have been blown away. They claim they would love to have Bielsa as their manager, and one even insisted he wants the Leeds boss in the Spurs dugout “now”. That may be taking it too far, but the brilliant Spurs fans’ responses to Bielsa’s Powerpoint presentation is worth a read for all Whites.

This Bielsa stuff is fascinating and somehow makes me appreciate Poch even more for what he means to Spurs and our players

Marco biesla is a bossman! I hated when people said Mourinho with his moaning, excuses and negative football was good for English football because he was a character.
Bielsa is great for English football! Good luck to Leeds, from a spurs fan. #LUFC #Bielsa pic.twitter.com/Vcy3yACxOg

Lampard needs to come back with something. If he doesn't then it looks like Bielsa has just owned him. He can't let this slide, he came out hard and now Bielsa had 1-upped him. Can't back down now surely.

I’ve never liked Leeds since a brick came through our coach window during the 90s, however I might be able to tolerate picking glass out of my skin purely for Bielsa running amok with the media next season

Thank you Mr Bielsa for showing up British managers as the lazy, unambitious, stupid troglodytes that they are x

Marcelo Bielsa is easily my favourite Argentinian manager never to have managed Spurs.
