Everton make the long trip south to face Southampton in a Saturday afternoon Premier League clash, and Marco Silva must make two changes to his starting XI.

The Toffees secured a much-needed three points last time out against Bournemouth, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin sealing a 2-0 win in injury time after Kurt Zouma’s opener.

Saturday’s opponents Southampton also secured a crucial win in their last encounter, emerging 2-1 victors against Leicester despite going down to ten men.

Silva must retain the core of the side which beat the Cherries but make a couple of tweaks to get the best out of certain players.

In goal, Jordan Pickford must start as normal.

In defence must come one change, with Jonjoe Kenny coming in for Seamus Coleman at right-back, with the Toffees talisman simply not performing well enough to justify a start at the moment. Kurt Zouma, Michael Keane and Lucas Digne must all keep their spots in a four-man backline.

Idrissa Gueye and Andre Gomes must both keep their places in midfield, with that duo forming a nice partnership in midfield this season.

In attack, Gylfi Sigurdsson must keep his spot just behind the striker, with Ademola Lookman also retaining his place on the right flank.

The second and final change must see Bernard dropping out for 6’2″ striker Calvert-Lewin [Transfermarkt], who should be rewarded for his goal last weekend with a start up front, with Richarlison dropping back to his natural position on the left wing.

This is an Everton XI which has more than enough to sweep Southampton aside and secure another three points on Saturday.
