COMMENTARY
There is no doubting that Vincent Kompany is an absolute hero at Manchester City but is this the beginning of the end for the Belgian? He looked off the pace against Liverpool on Thursday – then again, plenty of players do when faces with Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane – and he was very fortunate to remain on the pitch after a rush of blood to the head in the first half. His rash challenge was the sort of tackle which has been clamped down on by referees in recent years and he will be feeling awfully relieved he escaped with a yellow, rather than a red. On his day he has been a brilliant defender who commands his defence but it seems as though his age and injury problems are starting to catch up with him. He can certainly do a job for City but not when coming up against as potent a side as Liverpool.

Laporte playing at CB is so important for us. All of Kompany's passing out from the left is super awkward

Please bring Kyle Walker on for Danilo. Kompany lucky to be on the pitch.
