Bournemouth are in advanced talks to sign Dominic Solanke from Liverpool on a permanent transfer, according to Sky Sports News.

The broadcaster claimed on their Twitter account on Friday afternoon that Eddie Howe’s side are keen to land the England international as he prepares to quit Anfield for good.

Times correspondent Paul Joyce reports Liverpool are set to sell Solanke for £19million plus add-ons after also green lighting a deal for Nathaniel Clyne to join Bournemouth on loan for the rest of the season.

Wow. That escalated quickly. Just as they were digesting the news that Clyne is heading to Bournemouth on loan and could have played his last match for Liverpool, now Solanke almost certainly has. Most expected the summer-of-2017 signing from Chelsea to go out on loan this month, but few expected a permanent deal, and many Merseyside correspondents were refuting that possibility earlier this week. A £19million fee, plus performance-related add-ons, is decent business from Liverpool even though Solanke is bursting with potential and already has one England cap under his belt. He was given plenty of cameo opportunities last season but scored just one Premier League goal in 27 appearances and struggled to deal with the harsh Anfield spotlight. The former Chelsea man has not figured at all this season, and a mega profit on a youngster with a lot to prove once again demonstrates the shrewdness of the Liverpool money men and their expert transfer negotiators led by Michael Edwards.
