Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold is out for four weeks with a knee injury, according to the Times journalist Paul Joyce.
He also delivered more bad news, saying that Georginio Wijnaldum was a doubt for the game against Crystal Palace, also with a knee injury.
Joyce made the claims on his personal Twitter page on Tuesday morning.

OPINION
This is a massive blow for Liverpool, especially with Nathaniel Clyne gone, and Joe Gomez and Dejan Lovren still out injured. That means that James Milner will probably be drafted in for a spell at right-back. Gomez isn’t too far off a return either, so it’s not quite a crisis for Liverpool. This is the toughest time of the year for managers though. The Christmas schedule is brutal and injuries are common at this time of the year. Liverpool need all the players they can get as well, with the battle for the Premier League title looking set to be the closest and most competitive in a long time. Man City won last night to keep the pressure up at the top and they seem to have got over their little mid-season blip. It’s Liverpool’s to lose though and their win against Brighton at the weekend wasn’t the most convincing.
