Gary Lineker has delivered his verdict on Wolves’ impressive win against Leicester on Saturday and joked about it being last on Match of the Day running order.
In what was a thrilling fixture, Diogo Jota netted a hattrick for the hosts alongside a goal from defender Ryan Bennett, but it was Jota who fired home the dramatic last minute winner after the Foxes equalised three minutes from time through Wes Morgan.
Lineker joked how Match of the Day would be “one helluva show” via his personal Twitter account if the Wolves game ended up being last in the running order.

Wow, what a game this was. It was arguably one of the best matches of the season, and who would have thought that it would come from Wolves and Leicester? The game was back and forth throughout the afternoon, but what a deserved victory it was for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side. He will not care too much about being sent off after he celebrated the winner, as this was no doubt an invaluable three points. The majority of the team were outstanding on Saturday so it is no surprise that Lineker took to Twitter to provide a reaction to the fixture. Jota really redeemed himself in this match after a mixed start to the season, and Wolves will soar up the table if he continues in this vein of form. He deserves all of the plaudits that come his way, as he was certainly the star of the show at the Molineux.
