COMMENTARY
Despite the division-wide separation between the two sides – albeit Leeds United sitting top of the Championship and Huddersfield bottom of the Premier League – there definitely seems to be a rivalry between the Yorkshire pair. As such, many of the Elland Road have been turning to Twitter to react to the exit of David Wagner on Monday evening, as confirmed on the Terriers’ official Twitter account. The Whites supporters have not held back from blasting the decision, with many obviously feeling as though it is the wrong move for the top flight strugglers, while a couple of others have rejoiced in seeing their local rivals suffer, with the prediction of yet more troubles at the John Smith Stadium. Could the duo be swapping places next season? It certainly looks like that is going to be the case right now and the Leeds faithful will be absolutely loving the thought of Huddersfield taking their place in the second tier.
? David Wagner has departed his role as Head Coach of #htafc by mutual consent.
The 47-year-old leaves Town after detailed discussions with the Board of Directors, with both parties agreeing this is the correct move for the future of the Club.

Eff me, Wagner got'em up on a shoestring and they've parted company. I'd have stuck with him for the Burnley yo-yo effect. Without Wagner, it could be a a long way down. #lufc

@WYSdaily As a @LUFC fan I find it quite stupid that @htafcdotcom have parted company with the man who actually got them there. It’s the players that have let down Wagner but nobody sacks them!

Absolutely insane letting Wagner leave the dog botherers. I'd have been delighted to have him at #lufc if we were in the hunt for a new coach. Games gone mad.

Hudds fans will be having a meltdown over Wagner, Forest should be having one over O'Neill, Derby fans having a meltdown over their football lesson and our fans are having a meltdown over lack of tickets. Times are good. #lufc #htafc #NFFC #dcfc #tissueforlampard
