There is no doubting that Leeds United are on course for not only promotion back to the Premier League this season but doing so with the Championship title to their name – which is why Marcelo Bielsa needs to be ambitious this month.

The Argentine does not appear to be looking at making waves in the transfer market, Kiko Casilla the only new arrival at Elland Road so far, but with Sky Sports’ Tim Thornton claiming that the club are seeking a new winger to help bolster the squad there is still business to be done before the end of January.

Bristol City’s Calum O’Dowda has been touted as one option while Swansea City’s Daniel James is another reportedly on the club’s radar but with a fierce title chase emerging in the second half of the season, Bielsa needs to be aiming higher – even if it is just on a temporary basis.

One man who could hand the Whites a huge boost towards the title is Fulham’s Aboubakar Kamara, the versatile forward having netted five times in the Premier League this season and said to be looking towards the exit door at Craven Cottage.

France Football report that the 23-year-old has already held talks with other top flight sides in England, France and Turkey but his experience of the Championship – with seven goals in just eight starts and a further 22 substitute outings last season – means he is not someone the club can afford to let slip.

Having operated as a right and left winger as well as a centre forward, Kamara would bring power and goals to this Leeds side and ramp up the quality of their side significantly.

Securing his capture would be a coup considering the interest in him but the chance to fire a side to title glory this season could be too much to resist. As such, Leeds need to pounce and secure his signing.
