There is absolutely no doubting that Oumar Niasse simply does not have the quality to make a mark at Everton anymore and so it would be wise that the Toffees cash in on his talents.

Out of favour under Marco Silva, a couple of appearances on the substitutes’ bench is simply delaying the inevitable, which is his exit from Goodison Park.

He does not tick many, if any, boxes for Everton, with a poor goal scoring record and an age which limits the amount of cash able to be garnered for his sale.

Wiwsport claim that Premier League rivals Crystal Palace have tabled an offer for the eight cap Senegal international and that Everton have slapped a near-£7million asking price (£6.3million, €7million) on his head – but regardless of the bid amount the Toffees need to snap the Eagles’ hand off for the deal.

Palace would likely be willing to meet that sort of valuation – after all, he is an experienced top flight option – and there will not be many more teams wanting or able to offer the sort of cash Everton are looking for.

Furthermore, Niasse is currently on Premier League wages and the only other sides able to match that are top European sides or other members of England’s elite, meaning that if Everton want to avoid paying a portion of his wages or miss out on him leaving at all, they need to send him to a side who can match his demands.

There are not likely to be many other English sides seeking his capture, which is why Everton need to make sure they can get a deal done with the Eagles and get a fee they feel is acceptable – not to mention his wages off the books.
