COMMENTARY
With so much competition for a centre back spot at Everton this season those battling for a role in the first team know they have to perform at their very best week in, week out – so it is easy to see why the Toffees faithful were left fuming with what they saw from Kurt Zouma in the first half against Bournemouth. His lack of pace was exposed against the Cherries and for someone of his size and stature you would not expect to see him so easily out-muscled by the likes of Josh King when contesting for the ball. It was a really strange sight to see him struggle against those you would expect him to deal with easily and it casts questions over why he has been included in the starting XI when you have the likes of Yerry Mina waiting in the wings. It is not like the Chelsea loanee has done brilliantly this season and it could well be that the clash on Sunday is the final straw for the Goodison Park regulars.
