OPINION
Jordan Pickford’s performance in Everton’s 2-0 win over Bournemouth on Sunday certainly was by no means his finest showing. The England number one looked nervous from the get go and his distribution was pretty woeful on the whole. The former Sunderland manĀ hasn’t looked the same since his glaring error against Liverpool in the Merseyside derby at the start of last month, and he has made several calamitous mistake this season. The 24-year-old almost gave the ball away when he passed straight to Cherries star Ryan Fraser in the first half, and that summed up his afternoon. The Englishman needs to get back to basics because he’s trying a bit too much with the ball at his feet. The Everton fans clearly feel as if he has gotten too big for his boots in recent months, and on this evidence you’ve got to say that they have a point. Hopefully he can find the answer and return to his best over the course of the rest of the season.

Pickford not bothered about helping his defenders out, rooted to his line after his mistake a few weeks ago. This could be a long afternoon if we don't up our output here.
