Wolves are no doubt sky high on confidence after their thrilling 4-3 win over Leicester last weekend, and they will be hoping to bring some of that confidence to their FA Cup clash against Shrewsbury on Saturday.

Club legend Steve Bull wrote in his Express and Star column that he expects manager Nuno Espirito Santo to field second string players against the League One outfit, and this includes players like Leander Dendoncker.

He was impressive against the Foxes last week, and he commanded the midfield with absolute ease and assurance, as well as providing the assist for the first goal.

Seeing as he is likely to start agains Shrewsbury on Saturday, he must exploit the opportunity as much as he can.

He must use this potential start as a platform for bigger things this campaign, as who knows, he may end up being a regular in the starting XI if he ends up turning heads with yet another outstanding performance, something which he has showed that he is more than capable of doing.

The 23-year-old must pull out all of the stops to ensure that he is performing at the best he can, as Wolves would be catapulted to another level with Dendoncker starting on a regular basis.

At the start of the season none of this would have been possible as he was frozen out by Nuno completely, and his future at Molineux looked rather bleak.

However, things now starting to come together for 6ft 2in [Transfermarkt] ace, and his future now looks brighter than ever with Wolves.

He has the potential to be the club’s new hero if he manages to stake his first team place with a magnifcent performance on Saturday, providing he starts of course – so watch this space.
