OPINION
Carragher is right to be fuming on Wolves’ behalf over the decision to send Santo to the stands for celebrating as it just seems completely the wrong one. Santo, just like every Wolves fan watching, was thrilled his side had snatched three points at the death as it looked like Leicester City had battled their way to a draw. Wolves were 2-0 up at the half-time break and after Leicester got back on level terms, you feared they’d lost their opportunity to win the clash. Yet just like their opponents, Wolves were determined to do all they could to get all three points from the game and this saw them throwing everything they had right until the very end. It ended up working out for them, with Jota sealing his hat-trick in the process, but Santo being sent off kinda put a dampener on the happy moment. Hopefully Santo won’t receive any punishment or a suspension following his dismissal, as you’d hope common sense will prevail.
