Tottenham fans finally had some good fitness news to celebrate after it was confirmed that Moussa Sissoko, Victor Wanyama and Lucas Moura were all back in full training.

The news came ahead of the pre-match press conference for the Carabao Cup semi-final on Thursday night.

There’s no official news as to whether the three players will be available to play, but getting Sissoko and Lucas back would be a huge boost for Maurcio Pochettino.

The fitness update was confirmed by Tottenham on Wednesday lunchtime, on its official Twitter page.

Great news for Spurs fans, with Maurcio Pochettino set to deliver more news on their availability for Thursday’s game shortly. Sissoko and Lucas are the big players that Tottenham need back and Sissoko has returned way quicker than expected from injury. With Son Hueng-min at the Asian Cup, and Dele Alli and Harry Kane out until March, we’d expect Lucas to slot straight into the team on Thursday, possibly at the expense of Fernando Llorente. The towering striker, bought as back-up for Kane, has flopped at Spurs and had another terrible game against Fulham last weekend. He scored but at the wrong end and we think he’ll be used as an impact sub if Pochettino has any other options open to him. That could come in the form of Lucas, who was expected to be fit for the weekend at the latest. That Sissoko has turned into such a crucial player for Tottenham marks a huge turnaround for him, after getting severe criticism from fans last season. He’s turned it round and with Mousa Dembele having gone to China, Spurs really need him back as soon as possible.
