Leeds United have been in “advanced negotiations” over a potential loan move for Hadi Sacko with both AEK Larnaca and MOL Vidi interested, according to Diario AS.

The Spanish newspaper claims that Sacko, 24, is still waiting for his loan deal at Las Palmas to be terminated before moving onto a new club, having chosen Hungarian side Vidi as his next destination.

Sacko has made just five appearances in all competitions since joining Las Palmas on a season-long loan in the summer.

Good move for Leeds?

Sacko needs to find an escape route from both Las Palmas and Leeds because it is clear that he has no future at either.

He was soon got rid of in the summer when he joined the Spanish second-tier club on loan from the Whites, but since joining the Tenerife-based side, he has really failed to make an impact.

For the good of his career, the Mali international needs to leave Leeds permanently, but his short-term aim should be to get out of Las Palmas as soon as possible and joining up with Vidi.

Sacko should have no problem getting into their first team.

Likely to happen?

It just seems to be a waiting game.

Leeds have held advanced talks with Vidi and the player appears keen to join them.

There must be something going on between the Yorkshire club and Las Palmas that has to be sorted out before the move can get the go-ahead.
