COMMENTARY
Luke Ayling was one of Leeds United’s top performers in the first half of the season but he has not lived up to expectation recently, his performance away at Stoke the latest in a run of poor displays for the 27-year-old. He was slaughtered by the supporters on Twitter for what they saw against the Potters, struggling to handle the home side’s attack while failing to offer anything of his own down the flank. He was lining up behind prodigious winger Jack Clarke but struggled to provide the youngster with the sort of service down the wing that Marcelo Bielsa would have wanted to see. Right back is not an area where the Whites are blessed with options but one man who could be pushing Ayling for a role in the first team is young Jamie Shackleton with at least one fan urging Bielsa to change the experienced star for the youth graduate. After another disappointing display, the Argentine is surely considering swinging the axe.
This is FutbolĀ has gathered a selection of the supporters’ tweets from Saturday’s clash:
Not on our game atm. Too ponderous, missed passes & very predictable. Ayling, 4shaw, Harison all poor. Hopefully changes coming because Stoke seem poor too

Ayling hasn't been at it for a while. not sure he's fully fit! He's struggling to make a pass today.

Ayling's taking far too much out of the ball, though. He's releasing the ball to Clarke too late all the time. Having utilized Clarke half well enough. #LUFC
