OPINION
No wonder some Leeds United fans are completely baffled – why do Crystal Palace think they can get Jack Clarke for just £3million? Admittedly, the 18-year-old has very limited experience and he still has a long way to go before becoming a top player, but come on, £3million is absolutely nothing compared to what good young English players are worth, especially to Premier League sides. The Mirror reported via their live transfer blog on Friday [07:55pm] that Palace had made the pathetic offer for Clarke, with the addition of some add-ons to try and tempt Leeds into selling the winger, who has been in great form for the Championship leaders in the last couple of months. Fair enough, Palace may be interested in signing him, but their attempt to do so is awful and will probably put Leeds off doing any business with them in the future. It truly is a bizarre approach by the London club.
