COMMENTARY
With Kiko Casilla arriving at Leeds United from Real Madrid young shot stopper Bailey Peacock-Farrell, who has started all but one of the club’s Championship games, knows he is in a real battle to keep his place. He certainly seems to have been inspired to up his game as the Elland Road faithful were left drooling over his first half performance against Stoke City on Saturday. It is often said that competition brings the best out of players and that certainly seems to have been the case with Peacock-Farrell, who pulled off a number of smart saves to keep his side from conceding at the Potters. How long can he keep Casilla out the side? The truth is that once the Spanish international has bedded in at his new club, he is likely to take that first team spot from the current number one, but with performances like this Peacock-Farrell is certainly making Marcelo Bielsa consider his options carefully. Either way, he is proving to be a top quality keeper at times and needs more consistency to keep his starting spot.
