COMMENTARY
Even when things seem to be going right for Leeds United something happens that has them tearing their hair out and this week it was the performance of Bailey Peacock-Farrell against Derby County. It was not his shot stopping or his ability to pluck balls out of the air which had the fans tearing him apart against the Rams, but his decision making at times. First he was extremely lucky to get a foot on a ball after charging after a loose ball halfway into his own half before the most controversial incident of the match. After some smart play from one of the Derby players Peacock-Farrell, who has been a mainstay in the starting XI with just one Championship game missed, claimed the ball with a leap only to angle his boot into the face of the Rams star. It was a nasty piece of play and if intentional was a horrific decision by the young shot stopper. His mum probably joked that someone could lose an eye when he was a kid but this was no joke. No wonder his fans are livid and he might not be out of the woods just yet, with the referee to deliver his report on the clash. Impending ban? Quite possibly.
