Barcelona are willing to listen to offers for Malcom this January, according to Mundo Deportivo, and Everton must seize their opportunity to land the Brazilian.
The Toffees have been linked to the 21-year-old and will take massive encouragement from the development that the Catalan giants could be tempted to move him on this winter, after having only signed him from Bordeaux last summer.
Malcom has scored just twice for Barca having only registered 297 minutes of competitive action since his £37million switch, and while the player is understood to want to stay in Spain, it is believed that he has already been deemed surplus to requirements.
If that is the case then Everton’s director of football Marcel Brands need to swoop as soon as possible. The prospect has yet to make his international bow for Brazil but still represents an improvement on the Blues’ current options in wide attacking positions, and has the potential to be a world class talent.
A move would not be cheap, but if the Toffees are serious about becoming a top tier club then they need to start making these kind of transfers happen.
Last summer proved that Everton have a good working relationship with Barcelona, bringing in Lucas Digne, Yerry Mina, and Andre Gomes, and they need to press home that advantage in the race for Malcom’s signature.
