Crystal Palace have tabled an offer for Everton forward Cenk Tosun, according to Hurriyet.

The Turkish news outlet claims that Marco Silva is tempted to offload Tosun, 27, so that he can free up funds to sign Michy Batshuayi from Chelsea.

It is understood that Tosun is seriously considering an exit from Goodison Park to join the Eagles, who are 14th in the Premier League.

Good move for Everton?

Tosun has been a major flop since signing for Everton.

The Turkey international has scored just seven goals in 33 appearances across all competitions for the club and his performances have been way short of what were expected when he joined from Bestikas for £27million.

If getting him off the books means that Silva can sign Batshuayi then this will be a great piece of business for the Merseyside club.

Palace need a centre-forward and Tosun might be able to kickstart a career in England for himself in London.

Likely to happen?

It would not be a shock to see Tosun leave Everton this month, but Silva would surely only get rid of him if he is guaranteed to sign a replacement striker.

Batshuayi has been linked with a lot of clubs, so Silva could pull the plug on this if he isn’t able to replace the Turkey international.
