Crystal Palace have tabled a bid worth £3million plus add-ons for Leeds United attacker Jack Clarke, according to the Mirror.

The newspaper claimed via their live transfer blog on Friday [07:55pm] that Tottenham and Bournemouth are also interested in signing the 18-year-old, but it is Palace who have made the first move by lodging a bid.

It is understood that the Eagles’ offer included add-ons to try and tempt Leeds into cashing in on the best-paid Under-18 player in Elland Road history.

Good move for Leeds?

Clarke is only 18-years-old but he is already making his mark in Marcelo Bielsa’s first team.

He has made 13 appearances in all competitions this season for Leeds, scoring two goals and supplying two assists in the process.

The teenager has been very impressive and if Leeds were to let him go this month then it would be a very big mistake by director of football Victor Orta, who should see that the player has a big future ahead of him and is going to be worth a lot more than £3million one day.

Likely to happen?

No way will Leeds be ready to let go of Clarke this month, not unless a massive offer came in for the young attacker.

He has played very well for the Whites this term and anything lower than £10million is likely to be rejected.

Crystal Palace will have to up their bid a lot to sign Clarke, but that seems unlikely.
