Turkish top flight side MKE Ankaragucu have confirmed the temporary signing of Leeds United winger Hadi Sacko as the 24-year-old is pictured in his new club’s kit.

The Super Lig outfit took to their official Twitter account and website to confirm the capture of the Whites forward on a loan deal until the end of the season, Sacko having been shipped out to Spanish side Las Palmas during the first half of the campaign.

The Mali international has made 60 appearances during his time at Elland Road, managing to score three goals and chip in with four assists, and joins the side sitting 15th in Turkey’s top division.

Opinion

Leeds might be in the hunt for a winger themselves but it seems as though Sacko is not considered as the solution to their problems out wide – otherwise the end of his loan spell in Spain would have seen him stay at Elland Road. His record in England is hardly anything special and it would be a miracle to see him forge any sort of meaningful career from here on out. Moving to Turkey should hopefulyl provide him with the game time that he deserves, having struggled to make any sort of real impact at Las Palmas. Leeds will be hoping that he can impress enough to ramp up interest in his permanent signing come the summer, with hopes at Elland Road that Marcelo Bielsa will have to seek out signings for a campaign back in the Premier League. Sacko is not even second tier material in England and so any chance of a shot in the top flight is dead and buried.
