OPINION
This was a case of another week and another lacklustre performance from Nottingham Forest winger Matty Cash. The 21-year-old couldn’t get anything going on the left hand side of the pitch and was pretty ineffectual for the entirety of the team’s 1-0 defeat to Bristol City on Saturday. Worse for the team’s supporters was his seeming inability to stay on his feet. He is a talented player but he’s going through a bad patch and does go to ground too easily. His control was woeful against the Robins and he did little of note in the final third. He was tremendous last season and has been a regular for a few years now but it’s just not happened for him this campaign. That was very much the case again on Saturday. Both he and fellow winger Joe Lolley were rendered completely anonymous by the visitors at the City Ground and it simply wasn’t good enough.
