Leeds are making a ‘strong and final push’ to sign Dan James from Swansea, according to the Sun’s transfer expert Alan Nixon.

He claims that it’s going to leave Swansea with a ‘big call’ to make, but rounds his tweet off with “8p looking good”, his way of saying he thinks the deal will go through.

Nixon made the claim on his personal Twitter page on Wednesday evening.

OPINION

This seems to be heading towards its conclusion, but from Nixon’s tweet, he thinks that Leeds will pull it off. However, he claims this is a “final” push for their man, so it will either get sorted fairly quickly or it may well be announced that it’s not going to happen. With a medical still needing to take place, the time for talking is rapidly running out, and we should know the outcome, one way or the other, very shortly. This does seem to be it for Leeds. It’s either going to be James or no one, with Marcelo Bielsa seemingly happy with the rest of his squad. Players are set to come back – Izzy Brown hasn’t actually made an appearance for Leeds yet – and Patrick Bamford is also a week or two away from return. James would make a real difference though and fans will be praying that Leeds can pull this one out of the bag.
