OPINION
Leeds are after a goalkeeper, that much is known this January, and the latest name that’s spreading on social media is an exciting one – Real Madrid’s Kiko Casilla.
The 32-year-old former Spain international is third choice at the Spanish giants and hasn’t made a senior appearance this season.
He signed for Real Madrid from Espanyol in 2015 for £5.40m and has made 43 appearance for his side.
His name hasn’t been confirmed by any of the reliable sources from the Leeds end and it could be a rumour that’s got out of control, but it was reported earlier that Leeds had turned their attention to Spain after failing in their bid to sign Newcastle’s Karl Darlow.
Casilla would be an amazing signing for the club but many fans refuse to believe that it’s anything more than a rumour.
However, others have gone into meltdown at the prospect, with one fan saying “Surely we can’t pull this off?”
We haven’t heard anything about Casilla but we would love Leeds to announce someone as high-profile as this.
