Yannick Bolasie’s time at Everton must surely be coming to an end after the winger has had is loan deal with Aston Villa cancelled early.

The Toffees confirmed the news via their official Twitter account on Monday afternoon, and the decision must surely spell trouble for the Congolese international.

A report form the Guardian suggests that the 29-year-old requested for the deal to be ended so that he can attempt to force his way back into the Blues’ starting 11, but the signs are less than promising for the former Crystal Palace man.

Bolasie has been a regular starter at Villa Park this season, but has faced competition for minutes from young academy graduate Andre Green in recent weeks.

With just two goals and five assists in 21 appearances for the Villans he has hardly been a runaway success in the Midlands, and it is very presumptuous of him to think that he can now convince Marco Silva that he is worth another punt in the Premier League.

Bolasie was deemed surplus to requirements at the beginning of the season, and since then Ademola Lookman has begun to really assert himself as a crucial part of the Toffees’ attack.

It’s admirable of Bolasie to want another chance, but it could well be that the end of his time at Villa also heralds the end of his time with Everton.
