It is unlikely that Leicester will recall Harvey Barnes from West Brom this month, it has been reported.

Barnes, 21, has been in sensational form since he was signed on a season-long loan from the Foxes in the summer, but there has been talk about the Premier League side recalling the England Under-21 international earlier than planned.

The Mirror has reported that Fousseni Diabate is set to join Turkish club Sivasspor on loan, which could lead to Claude Puel recalling Barnes from The Hawthorns.

That would be awful news for the Baggies.

Barnes has quickly become a fan favourite in the Black Country, scoring nine goals and supplying eight assists in 28 appearances across all competitions as West Brom aim to make an instant return to the Premier League.

Luckily, reports by local media suggest that he might be staying.

The Leicester Mercury has reported that although Diabate is heading to Turkey, it does not mean that Puel will recall Barnes.

It is understood that the chances of the winger returning to the East Midlands are low.

Diabate has only made one Premier League appearance for Leicester this season, and has only managed a spot on the bench two times, so he is hardly someone that needs to be replaced.

West Brom fans should sleep a little bit easier tonight knowing that Barnes is more than likely going to stay put at The Hawthorns for the rest of the season.

They should be over the moon with this latest update.
