OPINION
Saturday was a big day for Leeds youngster Jamie Shackleton as he deputised at right-back against QPR in the midst of an injury crisis which has ravaged the Whites squad. The 19-year-old came through the test with flying colours as he put in a brilliant display in a 2-1 win to prove the strength of the Leeds academy at the moment. Shackleton was a bundle of energy all day for Marcelo Bielsa’s side, bombing up and down the right flank all day long. On top of his dangerous attacking play Shackleton also managed to put in a tidy defensive performance against a capable QPR side. These Leeds fans below were obviously delighted with Shackleton’s display on the day, and it is no surprise to see them all heaping praise on him at full-time. The quality of player coming out of the Whites academy is increasing by the season, and Shackleton is among a number of very exciting youngsters beginning to emerge from Thorp Arch, with his display on Saturday proving his pedigree.
