OPINION
Izzy Brown made his third and potentially most significant appearance for Leeds United Under-23s on Tuesday as they overcame Burnley in a bonkers 6-3 triumph. A Patrick Bamford hat-trick stole the show, but no less significant was the performance from fellow summer arrival Brown, who is working his way back to fitness after tearing his anterior cruciate ligament in January. The attacking midfielder played the full 90 minutes for the first time in a Leeds jersey and demonstrated that he is getting closer to a first-team return. While Bamford was sensational, Brown was merely very good. He is looking sharper by the week and one of the things that stood out on Tuesday was that he was able to keep going for far longer. The Chelsea loanee was tracking runners, showing energy with with pressing and, for good measure, produced an assist and scored a goal against England cap Tom Heaton. Little wonder Leeds fans are smacking their lips in anticipation.

Massive that we have a fit & firing Bamford back for this tough December period. Add that with Brown who's looking a class act, Jack Clarke playing outstanding today as well, & Ayling to come back at the end of this month.
Looking really good atm. #lufc https://t.co/9tawghenlO
