Michy Batshuayi’s time at Chelsea has been less than positive, with the Belgian international struggling to make any real impact on the first team and subsequently being shipped out on loan to Borussia Dortmund and Valencia.

Persistent reports, as outlined by Goal, suggest that his parent club will cut short his time in Spain this winter after an underwhelming spell at the Mestalla, and the 25-year-old could be available on another temporary deal immediately.

According to the Daily Mail, West Ham are interested in the forward, and the Hammers must make sure they can secure his services in January.

For all Javier Hernandez and Marko Arnautovic have impressed this season, Batshuayi offers a different kind of proposition up front, one that matches athleticism with a natural predatory instinct.

The striker also represents more of a target man figure, and while the Irons can call upon Andy Carroll, his unique brand of bull-in-a-china-shop nuisance making isn’t always the best approach to take.

With Robert Snodgrass and Felipe Anderson out wide supplying the crosses, Batshuayi would surely prosper, and could finally gain some redemption in English football.
