OPINION
Fulham definitely targetted Arthur Masuaku as West Ham’s weak link as most of their attacks came down his side of the pitch, and it is true what some of the supporters are saying, he was not at the races on Saturday. Luckily Fulham are absolutely dreadful right now and look as though they are team that are destined for relegation. Manuel Pellegrini spent a lot of money in the summer but he may need to spend more on a new left-back in January. Masuaku is not good enough for this level and Aaron Cresswell, who was on the bench against Fulham, is hardly any better. It seems every week that a section of West Ham fans are annihilating Masuaku, calling him a “liability” or pointing him out as the club’s “weak link”, and you can really see why. He is not bad going forward but defensively he is pretty awful. Pellegrini would be crazy not to spend some money on an upgrade next month.
