Darren Moore is expected to make three changes to West Brom’s starting line-up for the clash against Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park on Tuesday afternoon.

The Baggies’ longest-serving players Chris Brunt and James Morrison are expected to be axed for the New Year’s Day trip to Lancashire while Jay Rodriguez is suspended, as it stands, after he was sent off in the 1-1 draw with Sheffield Wednesday last week.

Moore confirmed after the game that he would appeal Rodriguez’s red card, but there is yet to be an update at this stage, so Hal Robson-Kanu could lead the line for Albion unless the FA overturn the ex-Burnley star’s suspension.

Sam Johnstone is expected to start in goals behind an unchanged back-four of Tosin Adarabioyo, Craig Dawson, Kyle Bartley and Kieran Gibbs.

Ahmed Hegazi missed the draw with the Owls due to injury and does not appear as though he will be ready for the game against Blackburn. Mason Holgate will official join the Baggies on New Year’s Day, but he could also be unavailable.

Gareth Barry could return to the starting line-up to partner Jake Livermore in the midfield, while Matt Phillips is also likely to be back in Moore’s starting line-up after he was rested for Saturday’s stalemate.

Harvey Barnes and Bakary Sako are expected to start on the wings while Robson-Kanu could be Albion’s starting striker due to Dwight Gayle’s injury and Rodriguez’s potential suspension.
